Cancellations and Refunds

Your cancellation policy

Set a free cancellation window (in hours) under Settings → Payments. Inside the window, cancellations are free; outside it, you decide whether to refund.

Cancelling a booking

When you cancel a confirmed booking, a refund toggle appears. It defaults based on whether the booking is still inside your cancellation window — but you can always override it.

Refund types

  • Full refund — returns the full amount paid.
  • Partial refund — enter a custom amount.
  • Deposit bookings — only the deposit is refunded, because the balance was never charged.

⚠️ Note: refunds only work for bookings paid through Stripe. Cash and manually-recorded payments must be refunded outside Scheddual.

Decline vs cancel

  • Decline — rejecting a Pending booking. Always auto-refunds if a payment was made.
  • Cancel — aborting a Confirmed booking. The refund is your choice.

If a client hasn't paid, use Resend payment link on the booking. This sends them another payment link email.
